COVID-19 Update from Fr. Bob & Fr. Sabastian

COVID-19 Update from Fr. Bob & Fr. Sabastian

Dear Parishioners,
Fr. Sabastian and I have been in isolation these past few days due to a possible COVID-19 exposure. Like thousands of others in our community, our results are still pending. We have been instructed to keep a low profile, and not leave the rectory to say Mass. Thankfully, the good Lord has provided faithful priests who have been able to still help us; however, due to their own pre-existing ailments, they have been advised by their doctors to either say Mass with very limited people for a live stream or privately from home. It is because of this situation Mass has been closed to the public, and will continue to be closed, until further notice. Please remember that Fr. Sebastian, Fr. Joe, Fr. Jim, Fr. Miguel, Fr. Daniel, and myself – with the help of Bill Freeman and Steve Borzage – are doing the best that we can to bring the Sacraments to you and maintain our parish community. Please keep all of these men in your prayers for their protection and continued perseverance in the face of an unprecedented pandemic. Together, through the unifying power of prayer, we will overcome Satan and all of his evil works.
Fr. Bob
Jessica Parrish to Leave St. Anthony’s

Jessica Parrish to Leave St. Anthony’s

My Saint Anthony’s Family,
It is with much sadness to inform you that Jessica Parrish, our Director of Faith Formation since Summer 2012, has answered the Lord’s call and has accepted a new position at a different parish.
During her tenure as our Director of Faith Formation, Jessica was instrumental in taking our Faith Formation program to the next level. Under Jessica’s leadership, she nurtured and grew Faith Formation and Youth Ministry during our transition from a “mom and pop” operation at Centennial High School to a more organized program here in our present building. A large part of Jessica’s success here at Saint Anthony’s was her “open door” policy of welcoming both parents and youth alike into her office.
As our Director of Faith Formation, she will be greatly missed. Faith Formation, Vacation Bible School, Youth Ministry/CORE, and our retreats will never be the same.
Until a permanent replacement can be named, please contact Joseph Wattenbarger, Director of Youth and Young Adult Ministry, with any Faith Formation inquiries.
We wish Jessica and her family all the best in her new adventure, and we pray for the continued success of her ministry.
Your Pastor,
Fr. Bob
Rev. Robert W. Puhlman

Ordination of Deacon Rogelio Molina to the Priesthood

Ordination of Deacon Rogelio Molina to the Priesthood

Ordination of Deacon Rogelio Molina – Bishop Thomas invites you to join in the priesthood ordination of transitional Deacon Rogelio Molina, to take place on Friday, June 19, beginning at 6pm, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church.  Due to the present restrictions on the size of the assembly, we are inviting everyone to participate via Livestream, from Holy Spirit’s web site, holyspiritlv.org .  We hope to see you there!  Soon-to-be Father Rogelio will begin his priestly ministry on July 1, as parochial vicar at St. Francis de Sales parish.

Reopening St. Anthony’s

Reopening St. Anthony’s

Please refer to the video below the “Volunteer Interest Form to Assist at Masses During Reopening” regarding reopening next weekend at St. Anthony’s.

St. Anthony of Padua will reopen, in some capacity, next weekend June 20th and June 21st. We currently do not know how many people Bishop Thomas will allow us to have inside of the church. If we are still in Phase II, our capacity is capped at about 40 people (total capacity including priests, deacons, ushers, ministers, and custodial staff is 50). If we are in Phase III, we will be allowed many more people; however, it still will not be our full capacity.

ALL MASSES WILL BE FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE. WE WILL *NOT* BE TAKING RESERVATIONS.

Parishioners over 60, newborns and their families, the disabled, and those with underlying health conditions are still encouraged to stay home making use of Bishop Thomas’ dispensation.

MASKS FOR ANY INDIVIDUAL TEN YEARS OF AGE AND OLDER ARE REQUIRED. Failure to comply will result in being denied entry to the parish and/or you will escorted out of the church.

Bishop Thomas has implemented a zero tolerance policy for everyone’s safety. Next weekend’s Mass schedule is as follows: Saturday: 4 PM, 6 PM, and 8 PM (Spanish) Sunday: 8 AM, 10 AM, 12 PM, 5 PM and 7 PM (All Sunday Masses in English) Weekday Masses will be still closed to the public and live streamed only for the first week. Again, all Masses are first come, first serve. There will be no reservations.
