Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI passed away on New Year’s Eve at the age of 95 at the Mater Ecclesiae Monastery in the Vatican Gardens. Pope Benedict served as Supreme Pontiff from April 19, 2005 to February 28, 2013. He was the first pope to resign in over six hundred years. There will be two Memorial Masses for Pope Benedict. The morning Mass at Guardian Angel Cathedral will be celebrated by Bishop Thomas and concelebrated by the bishops and priests in Las Vegas. The second Mass will be in the evening, for families and those unable to attend the 9 AM liturgy at the Cathedral, at St. Anthony of Padua in Las Vegas.

Prior to becoming a Catholic priest, Fr. Bob earned a Master of Arts in Vocal Performance, worked as a music therapist, and served as Director of Operations for Pan American Industries. A highly sought-after speaker, Fr. Bob has presented on topics such as music, liturgy, and Sacred Scripture at conferences and missions around the country.

Fr. Bob will be the celebrant and homilist at the 4 PM Saturday Mass on 12/10 and at the 8 AM, 10 AM, and 4 PM Masses on 12/11.
